I’m Becci and I am a documentary wedding photographer with a creative and colourful approach, based by the sea in Whitstable, Kent. I love to capture all the natural, the quiet, loud, big or small moments that make your wedding day as special and unique as the two of you! For me it’s all about making you, along with your family and friends, feel comfortable enough with me around that I can capture all of the above and feel like one of your mates while doing so.
I have had guests ask me at weddings how I know the bride and groom and I take this as a massive compliment. Not only do I like to make sure we have plenty of time to get to know each other before your day, but while capturing the special moments I will also be your biggest cheerleader and friend throughout your wedding and beyond! I LOVE WEDDINGS… how can you not? They are the happiest of days with so much love and joy and to think that I get to be a part of them really is the best thing in the world!
I have captured weddings all over the South of England, London and even in France. I’m more than happy to travel so if you like what you see and think we would be a great fit I’m your girl!
My love of photography started in the dark room during my university days. I spent way too much time in there over the 3 years (I think I may have actually turned nocturnal). This was also when my love of street photography began. My friend and I used to carry our 35mm cameras, our medium format cameras and even homemade pinhole cameras all around London. We LOVED it! After uni I then went onto teach tiny humans at primary school for many years until I decided it was time for a change. Together with my husband Joe, I have two little nutters of my own, Willow who is 5 and Sidney who is 3. I am obsessed with taking photos of these guys and I think this is what originally gave me the kick up the bum to do something proper with my camera again.
I document our family life on both my Canon R6 and my Pentax 35mm (which my uncle gave me about 20 years ago!) I’m super passionate about both styles of photography and have the option to bring both along to your wedding day. The beautifully sharp, quick, quality and freedom achieved with my Canon R6’s and the dreamy colours and grainy effect gained from having a film camera on board make for a brilliant combination.
